Same as in 2007 when Jan Kopka won this legendary bicycle extreme race which is called the roughiest in the world, SIR JOSEPH was with him as partner in Alaska.
Jan Kopka finished on 5th place with time 13 days 5 hours 40 minutes. This is Jan´s second sucessful finish of this race. He made both variations - South and North. In 2007, he has won and made it to Nome in time 23d 2h 42m. This race for 1000 miles was finished only by 2 bikers. This year all 5 bikers which made it to the end conquered the record of 15d 1h 15m which was set up in 2000 by Nike Curiak.
Jan had with him sleeping bags Looping 900 and Koteka 500, so he could sleep light using his Koteka in shelters and also combining both sleeping bags when bivouacing in freezing cold going down to -50 C.
